VINTAGE CIBA RARE EYE BOTTLE AND SKIN CREAM 883

Description

Ciba was one of the Switzerland companies that formed a cartel monopolizing all pharmaceuticals in that country and part of Europe. It sold its products in United States under the name of CIBA pharmaceutical products Inc., Summit, New Jersey. It did not combine with Geigy company until 1970 Forming the CIBA – Geigy company, that name being added to the label.
Quite an old liquid for ophthalmic use.
Antistine, good for conjunctivitis, contact dermatitis, or even some keratitis. This bottle had a dropper with it.
It is listed in 1963 but not in 1972, replaced with the better Privine.
Locorten was CIBA’s corticoid flumethasone but didn’t sell well.
This tube is pre 1978.
