VINTAGE CIBA NEW LABEL TWO SIZE BOTTLES 887

Description

Ciba was one of the Switzerland companies that formed a cartel monopolizing all pharmaceuticals in that country and part of Europe. It sold its products in United States under the name of CIBA pharmaceutical products Inc., Summit, New Jersey. It did not combine with Geigy company until 1970 Forming the CIBA – Geigy company, that name being added to the label.
When the CIBA company developed Apresoline (hydralazine) it was a major breakthrough in the treatment of high blood pressure and began to replace the use of reserpine. It was a frontline medication in the 60s and 70s. These two common strengths both show examples and expired in the early 80s.
