In the 1940s and 50s Pontocaine, a product of Winthrop laboratories then a division of Sterling drug, was very popular in the treatment of “rear end issues.” Pontocaine is the anesthetic that numbs the burning and pain. These three different packages of ointment, cream, and suppository are excellent examples used for hemorrhoids at that time.Please note these are vintage collectibles only; these are not safe nor approved for consumption of any kind.
