This is a cast metal (brass or bronze) sculpture titled, " 18th Century Apothecary" by notable Irish sculptor, Rick Lewis. This sculpture depicts an apothecary figure working with his mortar and pestle making a cure. The sculpture is well detailed and measures 10 1/2" tall x 5 3/4" x 5". The back is signed by artist and numbered, " 18th Century Apothecary 599 Rick Lewis MMS-Copyright". This is #599 of only a 1000 made. This design was commissioned by Rugby Laboratories of Norcross, Georgia as a pharmacy curio for its valued customers....they sold out. Rick Lewis is Irish born artist. Queen Elizabeth holds 8 of his works as well as the late Lady Diana and Prince Charles (Kingfisher, 1983 on visit to Ireland). President George Bush commissioned works as well as President Nixon. Nixon commissioned several "Peace Swans" sculptures that were given to Chairman Mao (the Chinese Premier), Pope Paul (in Vatican Museum) and another is at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He also made  "Proud Kiwi", a sculpture in New Zealand Centre of Government in Wellington. The Kiwi design is also used on their gold coinage. This is a pre-owned sculpture in good order without damage. I have photographed all around for your examination.
