RARE! Paden City Green Lightning Ice Breaker No. 102

Here is an Extremely Rare piece of Kitchen Glassware made by the Paden City Glass company.  It is a Lightning Ice Breaker # 102.  Inside the lid reads: North Bros, MFG Co. Phila. PA  Pat no. 2,056,097 "Lightning Ice Breaker #102 Made in United States of America.  The base is made by Paden City Glass Co. For the Lightning Ice Breaker Manufacturer.   You may see the bases made by a few different glass makers.  The Lightning Ice Breaker Co. contracted the glass parts out to several glass makers. The lid fits very snuggly onto the glass due to it was necessary since you lifted the chopper part and moved it up and dowm.  Thats why you may see these in all colors and shapes.  The condition is outstanding, and the inside of the glass does have use wear.  This would be more than understandable considering it was used to chop ice.  You cannot see the inside scratching from the outside of the glass.  It is a wonderful display piece for a hoosier.  It displays beautifully and is very Rare to Find one of these.
