LOT 2 Vintage FEDERAL HOUSEWARES Glass & Metal Nut Grinders with Measuring Cups

This auction is for a
LOT OF 2 VINTAGE GLASS JARS
with
NUT GRINDERS CHOPPERS
with
BUILT-IN MEASURING CUPS
on top; not sure of their ages, but I'd guess they were made sometime in the 1950s?:
One Jar has raised lettering on the bottom identifying it as having been made by "FEDERAL HOUSEWARES" in "CHICAGO, ILLINOIS" and also has the number "23" embossed on the bottom. More raised lettering on the sides reads "1/2 CUP" & "1 CUP" and on the other side, "4 oz." & "8 oz." (with an interesting "bubble" in the glass between the two measurements)
The other Jar just has an "A" in a circle and the number "2" in raised lettering on the bottom. The design of this jar looks sort of like a tulip, with swirly lines/ridges
Both Jars are topped with the same type of Nut Grinder, made of metal & plastic. The base of each Grinder is metal, and the multiple nut-chopping blades are operated by the plastic & metal wire handle. And each Grinder is topped by a yellow & red plastic cup with measurements for both Tablespoons & Teaspoons. Each of these yellow cups are "topped" by a red plastic cap that rotates to expose a small hole allowing for the chopped nuts to be poured out; alternatively, the yellow cups can be removed from the Grinder mechanism to be used as a regular cup for pouring out the nuts
The "Federal Housewares" Jar measures approximately 4 3/8" tall by 2" wide at the top and 3 1/4" wide at the bottom
The "Tulip" Jar
measures approximately 4 3/4" tall by 2" wide at the top and 3 1/4" wide at the wide spot
The Grinders
measure approximately 3" tall by 2 1/4" wide at the base and 1 1/2" wide at the top
The 2 Jars with Grinders together weigh approximately 1 1/4 lbs
CONDITION:
These Glass Jars with Nut Grinder tops are in
VERY GOOD
used, functioning condition.
The "Federal Housewares" Jar is very clean and in great shape;
The "Tulip" Jar is a little dusty and could use a run through the dishwasher;
The Grinder on top of the "Federal Housewares" Jar is in great shape, with ordinary wear for something this age;
The Grinder on top of the "Tulip" Jar is also worn for its age, the yellow plastic has some cracks, but no holes, still useable
