    Description

Gods' Eyes are made by traditional artisans in the temple town of Nathdwara, near Udaipur, in Rajasthan, India. Like little jewels, they are made to be stuck onto the faces of deities in a rite of enlivening, or situating the deity in the image. The effect is often a bit spooky, but effective. They are particularly associated with the Krishna tradition of Vaishnava Hinduism.
They look like a natural charm for good eyesight, or healing, as with the milagros tradition in Mexico. Jai Naini Devi!
Glass enamel on copper. All are unique. This smallest available size - "extra teeny" - is about 4mm by 2 to 3mm. Sold individually.
PLEASE NOTE: GODS EYES ARE SOLD INDIVIDUALLY. IF YOU ORDER ONE YOU WILL GET ONE (1) SINGLE EYE. NOT TWO EYES. IF YOU ORDER TWO EYES (A PAIR), WE WILL TRY TO MATCH THEM AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE. EYES ARE HAND MADE AND NO TWO ARE EXACTLY ALIKE.
