Each is made of solid iron and weighs 40 - 50 lbs.The top, horizontal rails could be lowered and raised.The panels were originally painted black color, and majority of the paint remains. However, there are also many rusty spots. What really makes these extra cool is their pitted or "hammered" surfaces, which occurred naturally after years of exposure to the elements. Please keep in mind, that this only surface-level corrosion; just cosmetic. These panels are strong, sturdy, and are in great shape; no breaks, cracks, or rot.The top rails of all 3 sections have a bend or two in them (see last photos). These could be corrected with a mallet.Aside from whatever purpose they originally served, they would make for a great table tops, cut up and used as drawer fronts or doors for a customized dresser or cabinet, industrial art, movie, theater props, etc.Dimensions:Two sections are 34 1/2" W and one is 35 1/2" W x 47 1/4" H x 1" D

    The top, horizontal rails could be lowered and raised.
