1940s Vintage Food Nut Chopper with Red Wood Knob, Metal Printed Lid, and Glass

Description

This is a fantastic early mid century food nut chopper glass measuring jar, and it is in great vintage condition. It has many wonderful and unique features including the red wood knob handle and the multi-color printed metal lid. You rarely come across this style of vintage chopping kitchen tool. The lid is printed in yellow, green and red with retro illustrations of onions, celery, carrots, peas, and other vegetables. The lid rim reads in alternating green and red: Small Vegetables, Nut Meats, Measuring Cup, Onions, Eggs, Celery, Liver, Parsley. The
glass jar serves as a multi use measuring cup with measurements up to 1 3/4 cups and 14 oz. on one side, and 1 2/3 cups on the other. It still works perfectly with its sturdy metal, spring loaded chopper with sharp blades. The glass jar measures 4.5 inches tall, and it is about 7 inches tall to the top of the knob. It is in excellent vintage condition with the jar clean and perfect with no chips or scratches. The metal lid shows a bit of age related edge wear which adds to the character of this rare vintage 1940s retro food nut chopper kitchen tool!
